Screenwriting Workshop
Saturday January 25, 11-12pm
Cost: FREE
Instructor: Rick Conti
Have you ever watched a movie and thought, “I could write a better movie than that”? Here’s your chance to learn how.
Screenwriting is a craft that requires specialized knowledge. It’s more than just writing a story. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how it’s done, Artisans Exchange has just the class for you. On Saturday, January 25, we’ll host a FREE one-hour introductory seminar on screenwriting.
At this seminar, you’ll be introduced to screenplay format and structure. You’ll also learn what it takes to market and sell your screenplay. This meeting will lay the groundwork for further learning on the topic. If there is sufficient interest, a fee-based class will be held later in the year where you can try your hand at writing your own screenplay.
The class will be led by Rick Conti. In addition to having seven books for sale at AE, Rick has written a dozen screenplays, some of which have finished in the top ranks of major screenwriting competitions. He has studied under and received positive reviews from instructors in the UCLA screenwriting department. He has also attended seminars taught by some of Hollywood’s most successful writers and producers.
If you have a story to tell–and we all do–come out and learn how to tell it on the silver screen!

Workshop Registration Closes on Wednesday January 22, 2020

Have you ever wondered what your top strengths are? What if you could easily find out what they are, and then learn how to aim them towards your personal or professional goals? You can! During this two hour group workshop, I will help you to better understand what your Top (5) Strengths are, and how to use them to your advantage on a daily basis. People commonly focus on improving their areas of weakness. What if instead you focused on making your strengths stronger? Life is much more fun and productive when we are focused on our strengths versus our weaknesses!
All workshop participants will receive a survey code prior to the workshop to learn what their Top (5) Strengths are. They will additionally receive two written reports which will tell them more about their unique strengths. During this workshop you will learn more details about your Top (5) strengths beyond what the reports reveal, and be able to interact with a Globally recognized Gallup Certified StrengthsFinder Coach, Kathleen E.R. Murphy.
Who should take this workshop?
